Liv-ay Terms of Service

Effective date: July 14, 2026

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between CHO-FAM (the "Company") and users regarding the use of "Liv-ay" (the "Service"), an interactive storytelling platform provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Service" means the platform where users play branching interactive stories (visual-novel-style game content), create and share their own stories, and use AI-based creation tools (story structure extraction, image, background music, and voice generation, etc.).
  2. "User" means a member who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
  3. "Content" means interactive stories created and registered by users with the Service's creation tools, including all characters, events, text, images, and audio contained therein.
  4. "Creator" means a user who creates and registers Content for other users.
  5. "Coins" and "Gems" are in-service currencies used for Service features; Gems may be purchased for a fee.
  6. "Cash" means the settlement currency (1 Cash ≈ 1 KRW) accrued by Creators from Content consumption.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms take effect when posted in the Service or otherwise notified to users.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law, with notice at least 7 days before the effective date (30 days for changes unfavorable to users).
  3. Users who do not agree to amended Terms may discontinue use and withdraw.

Article 4 (Provision of the Service)

  1. The Company provides: interactive story play (single and multiplayer); AI creation tools (story structure extraction, episode generation, character/scene image generation, background music generation, text-to-speech); and content registration, sharing, and creator revenue settlement.
  2. Some features consume Coins or Gems; the amount consumed is displayed in the Service.
  3. The Company may change the Service as operationally or technically necessary.

Article 5 (Accounts and Eligibility)

  1. Users may sign up with an email address, phone number, or social account (Google, Apple), and are responsible for managing their account credentials.
  2. The Service is available to users aged 14 or older.
  3. Content marked adult-only is available only to users who complete adult verification.

Article 6 (Paid Currency: Coins and Gems)

  1. Gems may be purchased via in-app payment (Google Play, App Store); payment and refunds follow each app market's policies.
  2. Withdrawal of purchase for unused Gems follows applicable law and app market policies. Coins/Gems granted free of charge are not refundable.
  3. Remaining Coins, Gems, and Cash are forfeited upon account deletion and cannot be restored.

Article 7 (Rights in Content)

  1. Copyright in Content created by a user belongs to that user.
  2. By registering Content, the user grants the Company a license to use (store, reproduce, transmit, display, translate) the Content to the extent necessary to operate, display, and promote the Service.
  3. Outputs generated by AI creation tools (images, music, voice, text) are provided as part of the Content for use within the Service.
  4. Registered Content may be made public to other users only after meeting the Company's review (evaluation) criteria.

Article 8 (Copyright Protection)

  1. Users must not create or register Content that infringes others' intellectual property rights, including Content that substantially borrows characters, settings, or plots from existing works (novels, comics, games, films, etc.) without the rights holder's permission.
  2. The Company may review potential copyright infringement during content evaluation and may withhold publication or suspend display of suspected Content.
  3. Rights holders may report infringing Content through the in-service report feature; upon confirmation, the Company will suspend display, delete, or restrict use.
  4. The Company may restrict accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others' rights.

Article 9 (Creator Revenue Settlement)

  1. Creators accrue Cash from Gem consumption on their Content according to the revenue rates set by the Company.
  2. Cash-out requires conditions set by the Company, including Pro Creator grade, minimum amount (10,000 Cash), and payout account registration.
  3. Withholding tax (3.3%) under the Income Tax Act applies to cash-outs; the net amount is deposited to the registered account via a payout agency service.
  4. Revenue rates and settlement conditions are posted in the Service; changes are announced in advance.

Article 10 (Prohibited Conduct)

  1. Account theft or fraudulent use of the Service (illegitimate acquisition of currency, exploitation of system vulnerabilities, etc.)
  2. Creating or registering Content that infringes others' intellectual property, likeness, or reputation
  3. Creating or registering Content that violates law or public order (including providing adult content while circumventing adult verification)
  4. Interfering with normal Service operation (e.g., bulk requests via automated tools)

Article 11 (Suspension and Change of Service)

The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, outages, force majeure, or other unavoidable reasons, with prior or subsequent notice.

Article 12 (Termination and Withdrawal)

  1. Users may terminate the agreement at any time via the in-service withdrawal feature.
  2. Upon withdrawal, personal information is destroyed per the Privacy Policy; handling of registered Content is explained during the withdrawal process.

Article 13 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. Story progression, images, and voices in the Service may be generated by AI; the Company does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated output.
  2. Legal responsibility for Content created and registered by a user rests with that user.
  3. The Company is not liable for damages arising from the use of free services absent the Company's intent or gross negligence.

Article 14 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are subject to the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on July 14, 2026.
